Depremler gerekli m\u00fchendislik \u00f6nlemleri al\u0131nmad\u0131\u011f\u0131 takdirde ciddi can ve mal kayb\u0131na neden olmaktad\u0131rlar. Yap\u0131lar\u0131 ta\u015f\u0131yan zeminler depremde farkl\u0131 davran\u0131\u015flar g\u00f6stermektedir. Yap\u0131lar\u0131n g\u00fcvenilirli\u011fi zeminin davran\u0131\u015f\u0131yla direk ili\u015fkili oldu\u011fu i\u00e7in depremde meydana gelecek zemin hareketlerinin \u00f6nceden bilinmesi \u00f6nem ta\u015f\u0131maktad\u0131r. Yap\u0131lar \u00fczerindeki hasarlar\u0131n ana nedenleri s\u0131v\u0131la\u015fma, tas\u0131ma g\u00fcc\u00fc kayb\u0131, y\u00fczey k\u0131r\u0131lmalar\u0131, akma, s\u0131k\u0131\u015fma, kum kaynamalar\u0131 ve deprem b\u00fcy\u00fckl\u00fc\u011f\u00fcne ba\u011fl\u0131 olarak zeminin kal\u0131c\u0131 deformasyonlar\u0131d\u0131r.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Kohezyonsuz kuru zeminler statik ve tekrarl\u0131 y\u00fckler alt\u0131nda s\u0131k\u0131la\u015fma e\u011filiminde olsalar da kohezyonsuz suya doygun zeminlerin drenajs\u0131z \u015fartlar alt\u0131nda statik veya dinamik y\u00fcklenmeleri \u00e7abuk geli\u015fir ve a\u015f\u0131r\u0131 bo\u015fluk suyu bas\u0131nc\u0131 artarken efektif gerilme azal\u0131r. S\u0131v\u0131la\u015fma daha \u00e7ok kumlu zeminlerde g\u00f6r\u00fclmesine ra\u011fmen iri siltlerinde s\u0131v\u0131la\u015fmaya kar\u015f\u0131 duyarl\u0131 olduklar\u0131 yap\u0131lan \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalarda g\u00f6r\u00fclm\u00fc\u015ft\u00fcr.
